The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Cardinal Bloom was worth the wait, erasing the previous 2 hour auditory dross with their musicianship.
The band Metric, a cacophonous assault on the senses, offered earsplitting volume and an epileptic seizure inducing light show that sent this concertgoer to the concession area for a reprieve.
I know they don't have a deep catalog to draw from, but I would have preferred that they would have been the sole focus of the evening.
The singer Halsey opened the night, offering tolerable alt. pop candy but too many songs that all sounded the same after awhile.
Thankfully, the headliners had awesome sound quality and a choreographed light show that was top notch - a dazzling array of strobe and laser effects.
They finally took the stage @ 9:30 and treated us to a musical melange that ranged from edgy alt. rock to heart thumping anthems.
Overall, a polished performance in front of a packed house of young and old fans drawn to the band's catchy tunes.
